How do I find my correct size?

 What yarn should I use?

Waffle Pants/Sunflower Pants  - Any fingering or 3/light DK weight yarn in a natural fiber(cotton is recommended) will yield the best result

Drawstring Pants/Diamond Pants - Any light worsted or 4 Medium / Worsted weight yarn in a natural fiber(cotton is recommended) will wield the best result

Do I slip stitch or hand sew to assemble my pants?

You can use either hand sew or slip stitch to assemble your pants pieces and each method has it’s own advantages and disadvantages. You may even find that some patterns specify different techniques for different parts of the assembly process. Here’s a mini breakdown of why:

Slip Stitch

Pros

Easy to take out in case of mistakes

Speed

Cons

Very easy to misalign pattern pieces

Shape can distort if tension is too tight.

Hand Sew

Pros

Easy to align pattern pieces

Cons

Takes more time

Harder to pull out if mistakes are made

Either method will yield great results, so ultimately you can decide which method works best for you

How much yarn do I need to complete the project?

Yarn is based on estimates** Variables like height and width will determine how much yarn you’ll ultimately need. Height estimates according to size are based on averages to give you a general idea of how much yarn you’ll need.  If you don’t fall between the estimated height measurements, see below for recommendations.
